GCSE Spanish mock exam papers
One full mock for each board and tier: the listening, reading, writing and speaking papers at full length, with the official times, the listening played like the exam recording, and answers you can check at the end.

How the mocks work
Listening
One recording for the whole paper, as in the exam: 5 minutes' reading time, every extract played twice (AQA) or three times (Edexcel) with the pauses built in, then the dictation and 2 minutes to check. Recorded in Spanish from Spain.
Reading
Section A and the translation into English, timed: 45 minutes at Foundation and 1 hour at Higher on both boards.
Writing
Every task on the paper, with the choice of questions, a word count and the official time. At the end you see your answer above an annotated model answer, with the mark scheme's points to check against.
Speaking
15 minutes' preparation with all three cards, then the test: the examiner's lines are recorded, you answer out loud, and you can record yourself (it stays on your device). Then model answers to compare.
Marking
- Listening and reading answers are marked as the boards' mark schemes do, with the reason for each answer and the words in the recording or text that give it.
- The dictation and the translation into English get an estimated mark, labelled as a guide: the boards' examiners judge them as a whole.
- Writing and speaking aren't given a mark: you compare yours with the model answers, and your teacher is the judge. The AQA grammar gap-fills are marked.
- The summary adds up only the marked parts. It's a mock mark, not a grade: grade boundaries change every year, so we don't convert marks into grades.

All questions are new, written for these mocks in each board's format from the GCSE vocabulary lists, so they're unseen even if you've done our practice papers. As on the real papers, some listening and reading questions and one writing question are shared by the Foundation and Higher mock of the same board. Exam details from AQA 8692 and Pearson Edexcel 1SP1 specifications and sample assessment materials.
