This page explains what Spanish Grammar collects and stores, and why. At the moment you can use the whole site without an account, and we don't ask for your name or email. We don't sell your data.

Who we are

SpanishGrammar.co.uk is published by Clearly Media Limited, the data controller for this site: company number 07029089, registered office 3rd Floor, 86-90 Paul Street, London, England, EC2A 4NE. Questions or requests: info@spanishgrammar.co.uk.

Analytics, only if you accept

If you press Accept on the cookie notice, we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages and exercises are used, so we know what to improve. We only see anonymous, combined statistics, never who you are. It records things like the pages you view, the device and browser type, your approximate country and how you arrived (for example from a search). Google Analytics doesn't store your full IP address, and we never send it your name, email or answers.

If you press Deny, or don't answer, Google Analytics isn't loaded at all. The rest of the site works exactly the same either way.

What your browser stores for you

Some things are saved in your own browser (local storage) so the site remembers them on your next visit. They stay on your device and are never sent to us:

Clearing your browser's site data removes them.

Videos and links to other sites

Video lessons use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode and load only when you press play. Once a video plays, YouTube's own privacy policy applies and it may set its own cookies. Links to other sites, such as our ChatGPT companion apps, take you to services with their own privacy policies.

Hosting

Like any website, delivering pages means our hosting and content delivery provider processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type. It's used only to deliver and secure the site, not to identify you.

Your choices and rights

You can change your cookie choice at any time:

Under UK data protection law you can ask what data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing info@spanishgrammar.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we handle data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If we add features that collect more, for example optional accounts to save your progress across devices, we'll update this page before they go live, explain what's collected and why, and change the date at the top.
