Tip: Este/esta = this (near speaker), ese/esa = that (near listener), aquel/aquella = that (far from both). They must agree in gender and number with the noun.

That (what you're proposing) doesn't seem right to me.

Give me that (thing you have in your hand).

Those girls (way over there in the distance) are my friends.

cuadros en la pared son muy bonitos, pero prefiero cuadros que están en tu casa.
Those paintings (on the wall near you) are very pretty, but I prefer those paintings (over at your house).

This (here, now) and that (from years ago) are different problems.
15.
En época no había internet, y cambiaba todo.
In that era (long ago) there was no internet, and that (fact) changed everything.
16.

This (what we need right now) is more time.

This city (where we are) is beautiful in spring.
